Experts from the Center for Russian-Vietnamese Tropical developed aircraft maintenance technology optimized oil and coconut oil or palm oil, allowing reduced maintenance costs down airplanes four times.![]()
The Center has created a special engine oils, used to illuminate all parts susceptible to water, salt air and impact in the preservation process.
The basis for this type of product is that oil joint venture to exploit offshore VSP.
With this technology, the storage time should not approach any aircraft time and the time just flew the plane the engine is ready to work.
Deputy General Director of the Russian-Vietnamese Tropical Centre, Mr Nicolai Samokhin, said: "Oil contains 50% paraffin. This is the most valuable raw material for manufacturing lubricants preserved aircraft. We added to this oil a more material to enhance the security features of it, after the addition of oil may penetrate into cracks and small openings of the aircraft ".
That material is coconut oil or palm oil. This oil on the surface of water that must be protected quickly evaporate.
When making preservatives, manufacturers have used the material is imported from Russia, for example inhibitors slow or completely prevent corrosion of metal, polymer aging, too oxidation of lubricating oil.
However, experts Tropical Centre will soon build a synthetic inhibitor of materials available in Vietnam. Thus the import of raw materials from Russia is no longer needed and therefore maintenance costs for civil and military aircraft of Vietnam will be lower.
