Crop Research Center Indonesia held national conference Coconut 8th from 21 - 05.22.2014 at Ratu Convention Center in Jambi, Indonesia. The theme of this year's conference is "Sustainable development based on biology Coconut technological innovation friendly environment. Representative of the Minister of Industry and Trade, General Manager Crop Research Centre Gamal Nasir has officially opened the Conference with the participation of 200 coconut farmers. In compensation the opening ceremony, the coconut trees reaching high yield was awarded represents the coconut farmers from 03 different provinces. 
Jambi Governor Hasan Basri Agus province has emphasized the development of the agricultural sector in the province of Jambi coconut because local resources are abundant. The development of such industries will increase demand for raw materials and used as a platform for local authorities to develop the coconut industry exists. At this point, there are 118 388 ha of coconut Jambi province, accounting for about 8.6% of the coconut plantation in the province.
This conference also organized the exhibition to showcase products as products made from coconut, such as virgin coconut oil (VCO), cooking oil has health benefits, coconut fiber products and the type of cake made from coconut. In addition, the conference also hosted a field trip to Tanjung coconut farm in western Jabung to the conference participants observed conditions coconut industry in the province.
In this conference, the CEO of APCC Uron N. Salum had a presentation titled Role of APCC in promoting international cooperation and consumption of coconut products in Indonesia. APCC also joined this exhibition to introduce the system publications and services to the community APCC coconut.
