AISKI Association promotes the use of coco peat as a soil environment improvement

The use of coco peat for soil improvement has been made in several areas such as East Kalimantan (coal mining area old) and South East Sulawesi (mining areas nickel old).
Head of Research and Development Association Pawennari Ady said the use of coco peat helps plants grow better, reaching 1.5 m in height within 6 months and 1.5 years, reaching 04m. The association is also working with agencies BPPT of Indonesia. Agus Kristijono researchers from BPPT provide evidence that coco peat can improve the structure and texture of the soil, increases water absorption and water storage and supply nutrients important for crops such as calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), potassium (K), nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P).
